TeachMe: Kindergarten is an educational iPhone app which teaches four different age appropriate subjects to Kindergarten aged children: sight words, addition, subtraction and spelling. Parents can select which subjects they want, set different difficulty levels, and even choose specific questions. Parents can review performance history for each subject to check how their child is doing.

TeachMe: Kindergarten keeps children engaged with a rather unique reward system where children earn a coin for every three correct answers. Coins can then be used to purchase stickers to place in fun sticker scenes or to purchase items for the new virtual aquarium. Sticker scenes can be exported as wallpaper or emailed to family and friends.

The simple and intuitive user interface is designed to be child friendly, which allows children to play without help from an adult. An animated teacher (Mimi Mouse) gives verbal instructions and feedback to the child which makes learning fun.

Description
SkySafari is a celestial travel guide, designed to help you explore the night sky. It is a powerful planetarium program that fits in your pocket, and puts 300,000 stars, and 30,000 deep sky objects at your fingertips. It renders the planets and moons in detail, using NASA mission imagery. And SkySafari can turn your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch into a 21st-century telescope controller.

SkySafari includes an Expansion Pack with 2.5 million stars, and more than 300 color deep sky object images, dramatically increasing the realism and usefulness of your sky charts. This is an optional in-app purchase, available in the Settings.

SkySafari precisely shows the sky from any location on Earth, at any time in the past or future. It contains informative descriptions of the planets, stars, and constellations; and includes hundreds of images from both NASA and leading astro-photographers.

If you have an iPhone or iPad with a compass, SkySafari can show you the sky in same the direction that you're holding your phone. Shake the phone to activate its compass and/or accelerometer - now you can identify stars and planets by holding your phone next to them! You can find any object in the sky by following an arrow that points in its direction.

SkySafari contains interface themes that let you change the look-and-feel of the app, including a Night Vision theme that preserves your dark adaption as you're exploring the night sky.

The Time Flow feature lets you animate the night sky using simple VCR controls. Follow the motion of the stars and planets as SkySafari compresses days, months, and years into a few seconds.


SkySafari's simple user interface, and its ability to wirelessly control your scope, make it an invaluable tool for exploring the heavens.

Southern Stars has licensed SkySafari to Orion Telescopes and Binoculars for separate distribution on the app store under the name StarSeek. Support questions for StarSeek should be sent to Orion Telescopes. Southern Stars will continue to support, maintain, and develop SkySafari in the future.
What's new in Version 2.1
1. Support for Southern Stars' SkyWire serial cable accessory, for "plug-and-play" telescope control.
2. Support for Apple's iPad VGA adapter. You can now mirror SkySafari's display on an external monitor or big-screen TV.
3. Push notifications and badges. With these, you can automatically receive notifications of celestial events, like eclipses and transits, discoveries of new comets, supernovae, or product-related announcements.
4. Pure OpenGL rendering - this release has double graphics performance of the previous one!
5. Shadows in the Solar System! SkySafari now shows lunar eclipses, and transits of Jupiter and Saturn’s moons - even the shadow Saturn casts on its rings.
6. Constellations can now be depicted as mythical figures, in addition to stick-figure outlines and official boundaries.
7. When star name density is below 10%, only stars with Bayer letters, Flamsteed numbers, or proper names will be labelled.
8. This version has greatly improved wireless telescope connection reliability, especially on the iPad. It includes communication fixes for SiTech and Tangent Instruments-compatible telescope encoders.
9. Observing lists can now be exported by email as plain-text and/or CSV files. An import feature is not planned for any future release. This version also prevents losing observing lists and/or settings files after a version upgrade.
10. SkySafari now displays the Local Sidereal Time in the Date & Time Settings.
11. Other miscellaneous bug fixes, including improvements to compass behavior, corrected display problem with labels in Time/Date Picker, correct Australian Daylight Savings Time, and restored missing labels on Messier 40 and Caldwell 9.
