Description
DuelQuest is a totally new type of competitive fighting game that introduces bluffing and reading opponents as a key component. Use one of five maneuvers (Slash, Feint, Shove, Adjust, Thrust) to outduel, outwit, and generally outplay friends or random opponents from around the world.
WARNING: This game is easy to pick up but difficult to master. Although there are elements of chance, we have implemented specific features to make sure that players can win regardless of the rolls they receive. For example:
* If you miss a Slash or Feint, your chance to hit goes up. This means that you will never miss a Feint with a Balance of 1 seven times in a row.
* The Shove maneuver has been shown to have a greater psychological impact than the statistical value it represents. Players can use it to push opponents around to overcome poor rolls.
* The Adjust maneuver is very inexpensive (15 Energy out of 1000) to allow players to re-roll often so that they are not hampered by poor rolls.
* Although losing a Riposte is very damaging (-450 Energy), players have been able to recover and still win.
